[Marks] Tillman is on an expiring $1.9M contract. His salary will go into the $6.2M Grant Williams Traded Player Exception. The Celtics will inherit his bird rights and can sign him in the offseason despite their financial limitations. Boston had 8 seconds available before the trade.

  1. Correction from Marks:

His salary will go into the **Justin Jackson** trade exception. Not Grant Williams.

  2. Can someone explain what they had 8 seconds means? Am I an idiot?

    Edit: Idiot confirmed

  3. $4.3M left of the Grant Williams TPE after this trade.

Edit: He was traded into the **Justin Jackson** TPE instead! Wow!

Edit: Never mind! Can’t use the $250k buffer due to being in the second apron. Into the Grant TPE he goes!

Edit: Never mind, again! We’re sending out Lamar Stevens for Tillman, so no TPE usage at all!

  4. Just wait til we re-sign him for $20 million so we can use his salary to trade for someone even better.

Kidding, but it’s lowkey an option

  5. I think the role of Tillman is kind of similar to Brisset and Stevens, which leads me to feel that Brad will package some bench players to trade for a players with bigger contract, so he finds a replacement for Brisset/Stevens first.
