[Shapiro] Caleb Williams should want Bears to draft him, per NFL Insider – NBC Sports Chicago

Jay Glazer a true Chicago ally. There will be zero Glazer slander on the sub going forward.

Based Jay Glazer.
Fans were chanting Justin fields so it would be absolutely insane if he was a legit franchise QB
Glazer’s Glazers
His analysis really is spot on
Again, why does all of this talk act like Caleb has a choice?
This sub should have a make a headline thread about the Bears and Caleb Williams.
In Poles we trust
I don’t know. If I’m Caleb and look at the bears history with QBs, its scary.. but they were 2 wins away from the playoffs and have a bunch of picks coming their way, plus potential with a fields trade. The bears could become the youngest scariest team in the league if they play their cards right. Caleb could be a superbowl threat every year…
I really hope they play their cards right, avoid injury, and finally learn how to bring up a QB
Even if he’s from DC, the Bears are the better choice:
Large market without competition (The Commanders have a really good Ravens team nearby with an MVP quarterback. It’s like if the Packers played in Naperville).
Young team with a second top ten pick and a very tradable asset in Justin Fields.
Lots of cap room.
The only down side is the Bears are owned by one of the poorest owners in sports and traditionally have been ancient with how the organization has been run.
Thank you Jay
I don’t mean to be that guy. Born and raised in Chicago and moved about a decade ago to another state. But this is putting way too much weight about playing for a historic franchise. Most folks outside of Chicago don’t care about this stuff, just look at the big names the Bulls have lured over the years…
He’s right. But this isn’t even a hot take. Chicago is amazing sports city. It’s top 4 no doubt and can be argued head on with any of the others (NY, Boston, Philly etc). This organization has been a dump truck for 25 years and people are still obsessed. I honestly don’t think it would be a stretch to say he would be on Jordan’s level in this city if he’s great. That’s how big the Bears are and how desperate for a QB we are.
When this city produces a winner, it becomes a major national story and often it even stretches beyond diehard sports fans. Cubs in 16, Bulls dynasty, 85 Bears, shit the Hawks run kept the NHL afloat as the organization basically became larger than the sport.
I would tell a 200lb DL to take their chances as a UDFA. Yes im a hater
