  1. * Vlad points at the MLB The Show cover……

“See! I’m marketable, I put butts in seats and make these guys stupid amounts of money. Why else would I be on that cover?”

  2. The face of the franchise got dragged to arbitration. There was no need. They should’ve paid him and moved on.

I really wonder what ShAtkins were thinking…

  3. I did not expect this to go his way, but good for him and hopefully that spurs on a big turnaround this year

  4. Wait till he gets picked off at 2nd again cause he is asleep.

I’ll be onboard when he fixes those small mistakes that cost us games.

  5. Vlad is so lucky that he won. I felt what even the FO offered him was too high. He has not earned that $19M and is in no way deserving of an extension. Let’s look into extending Bo.

  6. Vlad wins the case, as expected. This gives him a dose of confidence and superiority which he uses to launch into his big comeback season.

    How’s that?

  7. Great, more money (that wasn’t going to a FA pickup anyway) for a guy to continue to regress

What’s the record for most double plays hit into by one player for a season?

  8. & this is where the relationship between Vlad and the Blue Jays starts to deteriorate. Just pay the man instead of going through this stupid thing where the player has to listen to the team explain why you deserve less money.

“There’s no denying that the relationship is definitely hurt from what [transpired] over the last couple weeks,” said Corbin Burnes after arbitration.

  9. I realize Vlad had a rough season last year but some of you need to tone down the doomer shit a few notches. Everyone understands his WAR was poor last year and something was off, the whole team was like that. He ran the bases like and idiot and was just too eager in the box. He’s 24 years old. The Orioles just traded a prospect everyone loves that’s 26, 24 years old is the average age for a hitter at the AA level. Let’s not cry ourselves to sleep over Vladdy’s lost career just yet. He’s always had a lot of maturing to do. He’ll be 25 this season, he knows what’s at stake. Take a deep breath, he’s going to figure it out.

  10. I love Vladdy as much as the next Jays fan… but how did he get the cover in the US????

  11. I want to be wrong and see Vlad earn that and make me look stupid. Good luck this year Vlad…

  12. That’s a big bag Vladdy’s got in his hands! Hopefully he’s as motivated and kick ass this year and EARNS the big bucks!
