Not to be a downer on OP but I don’t believe in destiny. Any team that makes it to the SB can feel like a team of destiny from 20 different angles. If the Lions had scored one more TD they’d be feeling like a team of destiny.
I do believe in talent though, and this team has it everywhere. That Broncos team was talented as hell and it’s clear that they’re sharing that talent with this new team in their own way. If any team has a chance at beating these Chiefs, it’s this one. I’m nervous as hell but they haven’t steered the ship wrong yet this postseason. All they gotta do is finish the job.
Have to get the job done against an elite chiefs team
They also beat the defending SB Champs
Garrison Hearst going down in the Divisional game against the Falcons that year was heartbreaking.
Hearst was incredible that year.
1570 rushing yards, 535 receiving yards.
It’s crazy that 29 years have passed since the 49ers last SB win. I remember watching the 94 game and how overcoming the Cowboys felt so tough. Back then, every year was SB or bust. I’m happy Shanahan/Lynch/York have this team contenders again.
Bobby Turner gets no love.

The niners are going to open a time gate.
All they have too do is bring their A game… The one they showcased more often than not… This game… This should not be hard for this team.
I’m hearing a lot of predictions this week, which don’t mean shit, but the interesting thing is those picking the chiefs are picking them by 3-4 points (they’re tentative), whereas a lot of those picking the niners are predicting a blowout or at least a 1-2 touchdown lead. We just look way better on paper than the Chiefs this year.
Coincidentally also the first Super Bowl I ever watched.
