We love Jim Pete and Grady. Benz was a tough act to follow cause he was a goofy weirdo but Grady brings the humor and panache but also knows ball. Please don’t leave Michael.

earlier they were talking about speaking to jim pashke, their longtime, retired announcer…who said that you address Giannis as “Gianni” when you speak to him directly (the S is silent / a Greek thing). so then they were trying to figure out if you then called Thanasis “Thanasi”.
so this is a callback to their original joke early in the game. listen closely. jim pete says “Thanasi” and not “Thanasis”.
The headline missed the best part, which is that the announcer had been calling them “Gianni” and “Thanasi” the entire game, and just cracking up about it, because someone told him that’s the Greek declension for when you talk to someone and he thinks that’s hilarious for some reason
