Kucherov vs MacKinnon: Who Would Win the Hart Trophy if it Were Awarded Today?

  1. Mackinnon duh. Kucherov would need to be head and shoulders above Mack to win it. Anything borderline will go to Mack because of the bias

  2. I haven’t read a single article about Kuch winning it. When the season started Makar and Hughes were both on a tear, so there were articles about them winning the Hart. Then McDavid had a great 5 game stretch so the Hart articles shifted to him. Now MacKinnon is close to Kuch so he’s the frontrunner. The most funny part to me is they’re actively seeking the guy who’s playing #2 to Kuch every time and missing him on purpose.

I have no idea what Kuch would have to do to win it, there’s not much more anyone else in the league could do if they were in his position.

At the end of the day we have 2 MVP trophies. Hart and Lindsey. Which one is more important? Most people would say the Hart has more prestige. But guess what, the hockey writers are the ones who get to vote on the Hart, so guess which one they tend to right about more.

These are the guys who gave Jose Theodore a Hart trophy for wearing a Habs jersey.

Everyone disagrees with this but no way did Carey Price deserve his Hart either. If he had the exactly same season with the same numbers, records, etc, but he played for Dallas he doesn’t get a single Hart vote.

They would rather die then give it to a Russian on a team in Florida, nah they’re going to give it to the good old Canadian boy on the team that used to be QC

Kuch wins the Lindsey though. That’s voted on by the players so that’s far more important.

  3. Mack most likely even though we all know the truth.

Messier, even though I can’t stand him, stated a stat tonight that Kuch has the largest gap to the no 2 scorer on his team in the league meaning he’s carrying the team more than anyone else is carrying theirs
