[Lewenberg] Even if Rajakovic wanted to play vets and try to squeak out wins down the stretch, there aren’t many of them left. That was part of the thought process behind trading Schroder, a Rajakovic favourite, and subsequently waiving Dinwiddie.

  1. >For better or for worse, the Raptors are forced to see what they’ve got in guys like Agbaji, rookie Gradey Dick and Jordan Nwora. Quickley will continue to see all the reps he can handle, as will Barrett, and without a backup point guard on the roster Barnes should get plenty of opportunity to run the show.

So it seems that they’re probably not going to bring in a backup point guard.

  2. We now have 2 competent passing big men (jontay maybe makes 3) which will take some pressure off not having a backup guard…Ochai may get another chance to handle the rock a bit (apparently he’s struggled in summer league attempts this yr) and there are some guards in this years draft we can take a shot on if they fall. We will be bad, but it will be an interesting type of bad hopefully.

  3. Lmao what a dumb point

Kelly is a vet himself and gonna take Thad young mins and more

Plus keeping Bruce doesn’t stop log jam for Gradey unless we just sit him

  4. It’s funny that we had to force the hand of our developmental coach by trading Schroder and waiving Dinwiddie. Hopefully keeping Brown and GTJ doesn’t mean the young guys like Gradey and Agbaji ride the pine down the stretch.

  5. Good I was getting tired of the Dennis favouritism in the 4th when he was like -23

  6. What was the point of signing Dennis if they didn’t care to win? This makes no sense.

They gave the coaching staff one competent veteran point guard and then traded for IQ, who is learning how to play as a starter full-time. I don’t get the Darko criticism where he has to use the one experienced point guard he has in the rotation due to a lack of options.

  7. Poor Darko.

Guessing this is why the bigger names in the off-season had no intention of taking this job.
