The whole “Let’s lean into the being an evil empire” things is really corny and weird. I understand it’s a little power fantasy for some people but *Spending = Bad* is not suddenly true, and doesn’t factor in the high risk/high reward we are taking with these contracts so that we can sniff a NLCS again.
Astros have made it to the ALCS 6 times of the last 10 years and had 6 WS appearances in that time — them being cheating bastards and to continue having that level of success is truly an evil empire.
I think we’re the good guys. Blue is a good guy color. Also California is sunny. And we have famously good guys Kersh, Mookie, Freddie, and Sho. We’re just surfing and eating tacos and In n Out. Fans of other teams have to realize that they’re the bad guys.

Our colors actually say otherwise. Blue is synonymous with heavenly, goodness, and life. Orange on the other hand is evil. (Hence why the Sith have orangish/yellow eyes). It actually makes more sense that either the Giants or Astros are the evil empire.

We all know the **true** Evil Empire in baseball are the Astros, and their QAnon, r/conservative fanbase which successfully lobbied to make everyone forget about their cheating in 2017.
I think the real evil empire is the owners of other teams who would rather hoard their money instead of spending to put a competitive team on the field. But to each their own, I guess.
