  1. Played the best ball of his career in Dallas, can basically be offered 4x the salary ($2M to $548k), Dallas is a higher seed and less media scrutiny than the Lakers.

I’d be very surprised if he came here to be honest.

  2. I think he’s going to Dallas, but he’d a really solid addition for zero assets as our back up PG. We haven’t had a backup PG all year, and Dinwiddie is still a pretty good playmaker that can put a little pressure on the rim.

  3. Doesn’t Spencer already live in LA? I mean I know family is there but he does come on the gil arenas podcast a couple times and that’s in LA.

    Just come on home Spence!

  4. I think this going to be one of those things where everyone expects him to go back to the Mavs but he ends up signing with the Lakers. Being from LA and growing up a Lakers fan will be the main reason.

  5. Unless Pelinka can work some magic, why would Dinwiddie go to a worse team and get paid less?

  6. I think there’s a good chance he signs with us. Role players play for their next contracts, not for rings. Lakers have a clear need for a backup PG so he’ll get minutes, idk about Mavs

  7. Hes available so get him promise him a starting job at the 2 if u have to. Imo Dinwiddie and DLO works better than Reaves and DLO. Cuz at least Spence is passable on dat side especially when committed and he can get his own off the dribble and off the catch. Its better for both sides and then close the game with him and Spence. It gives u a lot of flexability.

  8. He’s coming to LA. He’ll have more touches and potential for larger contract after. He basically has been paid off for the year. His deciding factor is probably to spite kuzma with his beef with him. He’ll be like look who is in LA and look who isn’t

  9. He’s going to the Mavs, they have no back up PG and Kyrie likes to play the 2 sometimes

  10. I think we can offer him a portion of the remainder of our MLE, as opposed to being limited to the vet min, right?

  11. Getting him off the buyout market basically for free instead using assets to trade for him?

Works for me. Come on down Spencer!

  12. If he’s playing to get paid next season there’s no better exposure than playing for the Lakers. If he’s confident he can perform here he’s going to come home and play up his value.

  13. Am I the only one not a fan if we sign dinwiddie? Theoretically sounds good, but our problem has always been our interior defense whenever AD is off the floor. Also if gabe comes back (BIG IF), we just have hella guards. I would like a decent back up/starting big. Just my 2 cents.

  14. He taking meetings like he’s good lol. If we get him that’ll be 3 guards on the team that can’t defend smh. I get he’s gabe insurance but that’s crazy

  15. Every time I’ve heard of a player reportedly deliberating between the Lakers and another team, they have never gone to the Lakers—take that as you will.
