Eli Manning should be a first ballot HOFer. 2x Super Bowl MVP with 210 straight starts (10th all-time) with 366 passing TD’s (10th all-time) and 57,023 passing yards (10th all-time)

What’s your favorite Eli memory?

I was in-house vs the Jets 2011 Xmas Eve when we were both 7-7 fighting for the playoffs and that place blew up for the 99-yard TD to Cruz.

But I have framed photos of his throws to Manningham and Tyree.

His endurance during the championship game against the Niners was a hall of fame worthy performance against an all time defense

  1. We all know he’s getting in but the only question is will it be first ballot. The rest of the first time eligibles are very underwhelming so he has a better shot. I always assumed he would get in after a year or two but after seeing his class he might get in. I have a feeling some voters will leave him off year 1 just because of the negative talking points on him though

  2. I’m fairly certain he’ll be first ballot. He’s EVERYWHERE now, and very top of mind. He’s not nearly as disliked/disrespected as he was five years ago.

Also, as time goes on, his career looks even better with the two SB MVPs, clutch performances, and his consecutive games streak compared to folks like Rodger’s and the current generation that can’t stay on the field.

  3. He should absolutely be a first ballot hall of famer. Winning 2 Super Bowl MVPs is a historic achievement that only 5 other players have accomplished. Some guys hate to give him credit and say he shouldn’t get in based on two games, or they’ll say that Super Bowls are just a team achievement. Of course it’s a team achievement, but he was voted MVP of both games. He played great throughout both playoff runs and if postseason MVP was an award then he would’ve won it both times, and then maybe that would sound more impressive to these fools.

  4. That 2011 NFCG against the Niners sticks out to me the most and that’s impressive for someone with 2 Super Bowls. Just that whole 2011 run was his masterpiece. I was lucky to be at the “NFC East title game” against the Cryboys in 2011.

  5. He’s also somewhere around top 10 in completions. He may have dropped to 11 or 12 now. But regardless, top ten in yards and tds, top 12 in completions, 2 time SB MVP, record for most yards in a postseason, and possibly most importantly… responsible for a couple of the greatest, most clutch plays in SB history.

  6. I miss Eli. I used to listen to Francesca and people would call in all the time when Eli had a bad game. He would always say. “Just you wait until he’s gone. You don’t understand how good you have it.” Well Mike you were absolutely right.
