Sons fans can’t move on from hating

Kind of sad really.

  1. They really really hate DA. I suppose because they took him #1 in like an all time blunder pick. I think he’s been good for us so far, not a great value at his contract, but he’s a good player.

  2. All I did was post an article that I read to r/nba. It’s not that serious brotha. I thought it was interesting, so I posted it. I didn’t think the post was gonna blow up like it did tbh. Get mad at the guy who made the article..

  3. This has nothing to do with the Suns. This is an article written by a former Blazers beat reporter Jason Quick who used to have great access to the former gm NO. At the end of the 21-22 season (NO got fired) Quick left the beat. He’s a salty boi.

  4. Beyond being a bit of a hit piece, the argument that “he had little to no impact on a game” doesn’t really hold water IMO. They went like 0-6 on the Eastern Conference road trip without Ayton, and we won a few as soon as he returned. He isn’t perfect, but he definitely raises a bad team’s floor.

  5. Suns fan here. Also a Blazers fan (from AZ but live here now). It’s true, there is a lot of hate for that man amongst Suns fans but it varies highly. The big haters are a smaller subset that is just very vocal on Reddit. I wouldn’t say there are many DA supporters but most of us are either annoyed by the obsessiveness of the DA haters or just don’t care.

I’ve always rooted for the guy; I went to the same college as him and have rooted for him since. I will continue to but am fatigued on his whole situation. There are really high expectations for him but I think the dude just wants to play his game and be left alone. I expect him to continue doing what he has always done and is doing now. He’s pretty good and that’s good enough for him. At the moment, it’s good enough for the Blazers, for the most part. Eventually, though, he will either improve or that giant contract is going to start getting in the way. If that happens, I think we’ll see a few more haters in here too. But for now, it’s all good.
