  1. Aww, I really liked Nick and he went through hell to get to the bigs, beyond that someone tell me how to feel lol

  2. Solid as hell in 2021-22 for the Marlins. Looks to be a bit prone to homers and definitely walks a lot, but I like it. We need more than Thielbar and Funderburk for a full season.

  3. Nick Gordon seems like a great guy. You can definitely tell he loves the game. But i like this trade for the Twins.

  4. # Steven Okert quick look

Okert is a 32 year old lefty reliever who spent the last 3 seasons with the Marlins. Prior to that, he was in the Giants system and was up and down for them. As a Marlin, he’s put up a 3.51 ERA with 176 strikeouts in 146 innings. He posted ERAs of 2.75 and 2.98 in 2021 and 2022 respectively before a spike up to 4.45 last year. But his strikeout rate remained high from 2022 to 2023 at over 11 K/9

Okert is a 2 pitch pitcher, with a fastball averaging 94 mph, and his main pitch, a great slider that he throws 2/3rds of the time. Okert has ranked in the top quarter of the league in whiff rate, K rate, and hard hit rate both of the past 2 years, throwing over 50 innings each season. In terms of contract, Okert is just entering his 1st year of arbitration and is under team control for 3 more seasons

Okert is closer to the bottom half of the bullpen than the top IMO, but this feels like a great trade at my first reaction

  5. Falvey replacing Sonny with the leagues best bullpen.

Not for the regular season. But for the playoffs.

    He is absolutely cooking imo

  6. Hah, I said that they should trade Gordon last night and was downvoted because no one would want him.

  7. losing polo And flash has done a number on my mental actually. please do not speak to me i am in mourning

  8. The last time we traded a lefty bat without a true position to the Marlins for a pitcher was better. But this is still good.
