The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, 121-100. Karl-Anthony Towns led Minnesota with 24 points as Anthony Edwards (23 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists) and Rudy Gobert (17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 blocks) totaled 40 points. Paul George (18 points, 6 rebounds) and Kawhi Leonard (18 points) led Los Angeles as James Harden added 17 points. The Timberwolves improve to 37-16 as the Clippers move to 35-17.

The Timberwolves have now won four consecutive games against the Clippers.

Paul George made his 739th 3PT FG with the Clippers at 7:23, Q3, moving into first place in franchise history, passing Eric Piatkowski. Tonight is George’s 238th career game with Los Angeles, Piatkowski played in 616 games with the franchise.

  1. So the Timberwolves defense shut down Harden, Westbrook, PG, and Kawhi at the same time in both games they played. I’m impressed. Particularly with Kat defending Kawhi and holding him to 18 pts on 17 shots. I didn’t think he’d shut him down on the perimeter like that.

  2. Dominant game from the Wolves. Clippers got the home court whistle, and still couldn’t stay in it. Impressive. Gobert specifically felt super impactful.

  3. Can’t wait to whoop the clippers in the second round. These old former stars can’t run 4 quarters against real defense and for sure not in April.
