  1. Holds happen every single play, it’s a matter of getting caught. Game is done, let it go.

  2. Happens all year every year, Bosa never gets shit called for him. Nice ass guy but apparently refs hate him.

  3. You can’t blame the refs. You can only blame yourselves for being in a position where you need a call to win.

That being said, the Warner one will haunt my dreams for a while. You call TW on a far less egregious hold, but let Warner be pulled by the waist and tackled?

It was 3rd & 10, and the Chiefs converted the 1st down in that play. Could they have still converted? Yeah probably, but I just want some consistency on calls man…

Either way, there is no use in crying/complaining/whining. It’s over, just gotta hope we can finally win one next season

Edit: just gonna add we had plenty of chances to put this game away, and we didn’t. You can pinpoint a mistake by a lot of offensive players that cost us the game. So many things went wrong and every little mistake piled up into a horrible loss

  4. As soon as the head ref was announced we all knew that the refs were only going to throw a flag if there was a late hit or blatant DPI.

  5. The only one that really bothered me was the F.Warner one on 3rd&6. It looks like J.McKinnon literally tackled him after Fred put a nasty swim move on him

  6. Idiotic they get called all season and in the Super Bowl magically no more holding penalties

  7. They need to get this shit under control. There was an even worse example but it was on a 2nd down. The OLmen literally had Bosa in a bear hug for like 3 straight seconds. I’d be way more pissed off if they actually would have cost us a game, but we lost that game for much different/other reasons.

  8. We should have won regardless. We blew some opportunities and were plain unlucky in some situations while the Chiefs happened to recover 6 of 7 fumbles.

That being said, it’s very frustrating seeing Trent get called for holding while this stuff happens and not a single flag. I don’t think it’s a conspiracy but there needs to be consistency and the “let them play” mentality gives an unfair advantage boost to the team that had the most o-line holds during the regular season.

  9. I literally saw a Chiefs olineman with his arm around Baby Bosa’s neck and the refs didn’t throw the flag. It’s hard enough to beat Pat Mahomes as is but when the refs refuse to throw the flag on a blatant hold it makes it almost impossible to beat him.

  10. now we on blame the ref cycle i see. don’t show chris jones getting held every play either though. the reason you lost is pretty simple, your blocking scheme was atrocious. watch the center block the wrong side almost on every play letting the blitz come from the blind side not the right side. Blame Debo for absolutely getting locked up on 90% of plays. this man couldn’t get off the line and was hip to hip with Mcduffy all game. Blame purdy for not hitting the deep ball all game and not adjusting blocking scheme. Blame coach for looking surprised when they blitz every 3rd and 4th down. Blame the kicker who didn’t extend the lead from 3 to 4. Blame the defense who couldn’t get a stop after 3 quarters. Blame special teams who let the ball hit your leg and then don’t fall on the ball.

  11. This is literally why I took a step back from watching NFL and kind of reset myself as a more casual fan. The way the game is officiated is wildly inconsistent, especially with holding, and even if you played line in high school you see shit all game long in every NFL game that just makes it feel like most of the holding calls that do actually get called are basically random.

I got to a place where I decided my investment should scale with my trust in the game not making me totally infuriated about game changing calls/non-calls.

  12. Look man. I get it. Holds suck. But the last drive of the super bowl is like the last drive in the NBA championship games. You don’t get fouls called against the side with the ball. It’s just the way it is.

If the niners get another shot in the super bowl in the future, they need to make sure they’re either ahead more than a touchdown, or not let the opposing team have the ball the final drive.

This is also my knock against spending all your money on the D Line. In the most crucial moment it is completely negated by OLine holding.

  13. Damn I can’t watch the all out BLITZ in the OT 3rd and long and Warner just getting tackled by the RB. They just have to call those if it’s that bad….

  14. There was a lot of holding. In OT Fred Warner literally got tackles when he blitzed. It was a crucial stop too.

  15. The two most penalized lineman all year were their tackles. All of a sudden a perfectly clean game? This is not the only reason why we lost, but it was another layer on top of the self inflicted wounds

  16. Considering how offensive holding is inconsistently called and the desire of refs to let them play in crucial moments, why even invest heavily on defense and just go offense since it’s skewed that way anyways. Offense has way more advantages

  17. Do you want me to post all the plays where the 49ers weren’t called for penalties they committed? Whining about officiating is what losers do.

  18. Yeah. we know. Y’all torturing yourselves with what-ifs. I’m gonna just not think about this sport until draft day

  19. The Chiefs are the defending champs with the best QB since Brady. They F***ING don’t need additional help from the Refs. This is so depressing to look at.

  20. Saw it happening live and was so frustrated. But fuck it at this point. What’s the point of even calling it out….not gonna change the score right? Pain.

  21. I dont know who it was on, it was in the first half I think… One of ours actually knocks the KC lineman down and the KC lineman just straight grabs his arm ans pulls him down.. No call…..
