[Pavlovic] The Giants are no longer going with the two-way path for Reggie Crawford. He’s in camp as a pitcher and that’ll be the focus going forward. Giants are hopeful he can move quickly.

*Ohtani smiles as he crosses another one off his list
This is probably a smart move, because my god can he pitch.
Makes sense. Hopefully he can have a full pitching schedule this year. Respect him for trying, but yeah it was getting unrealistic.
Probably for the best, doesn’t hurt to have given it a shot to see which route we wanted him to go
Makes sense. Ohtani is a unicorn, though it’s fun to speculate that he’s paved the way for two-way players to become feasible (if rare).
Focus on Crawford’s pitching, and there’s always a slim chance they could dust off his bat if he becomes more established on the mound
Dang I thought he had a legit chance to be a two way player. It’s probably a smart call but as a fan I’m bummed.

Kinda funny he just recently had a [fangraphs interview](https://blogs.fangraphs.com/giants-prospect-reggie-crawford-continues-to-have-two-way-aspirations/) talking about how he still wants to be a two way player but this is definitely for the best
I hope Bryce Eldridge at least has a shot as a TWP. The mystique around a pitcher who can rake is exciting.
Sooooooo….. he can’t hit at an elite level. Got it.
I always thought the idea that Ohtani would lead to teams giving more chances for players to become 2 way players was not really true.
Players get the chance, they just generally are very obviously much weaker in one area than the other.
giants likely done with all 2 way stuff now that they arent pursuing ohtani anymore
Question- are we trying to make Reggie a starter or relief?
