    – Adam Fox still hears boos when he goes to Calgary. It’s almost impressive that fans of the Flames, the team that drafted Fox eight years ago, have such long memories.
    – Blake Wheeler ended up a free agent prior to the 2008-09 season because the Coyotes, who had drafted him No. 5 in 2004, didn’t want him. New management, new development team and not much interest. That wasn’t the first time the Phoenix/Arizona franchise botched a decision, and Wheeler was ultimately grateful that the Coyotes let him know during his junior year at the University of Minnesota so he could plan out his NHL free-agency tour. He chose the Bruins, kicking off a 16-year career that’s still going.
    – Kevin Hayes was another rarity in this area, spending four years at Boston College before opting not to sign with the Blackhawks, who drafted him No. 24 in 2010. Hayes got dragged into the Gauthier situation last month, with a report implying that he had advised Gauthier not to sign with the Flyers, where Hayes played four seasons before a trade to St. Louis last summer.

[Luke Tuch](https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/470086/luke-tuch) (younger brother to Alex) is a 4th year player at BU. Drafted in the 2nd round in 2020 by Montreal, he can become a UFA on Aug. 15 if he decides not to sign with Montreal. 👀

Tuch is a 6’2″ 203 lbs power forward with 23 points in 28 games for BU this season wearing the “A” for the team. Mom and Dad are down the 90 outside of Syracuse and he is a brand new uncle to a baby in Buffalo. Could be a pretty great 4th line player to start in Buffalo if he decided to go that way…..
