Ty Lue on PJ Tucker: “When you’ve got guys like PJ, who have another year left on his deal, he can ride off into the sunset, he’s 70 years old. But he wants to play, he wants to compete. And so you understand that you want guys like that.”

  1. i still think PJ can have some impactful playoff minutes in spurts

i think its worth keeping him for a “nothing else is working, might as well try him” option in the playoffs — like when Pop, after Stephen Jackson was pestering him on the sideline to get a chance at guarding KD (who scored like 10 straight baskets), subbed in Jackson.

(only for KD to still score over Jackson) but its nice to have a fallback

  2. If the dude wants to play that bad, he can decline his player option. It’s that fucking simple.

The more that time goes on, the more I appreciate LeBron signing those 1+1’s with Cleveland back in the day. If you want to control your destiny, that’s how you do it.

  3. It would be wild for someone on ESPN to say this. It’s absolutely insane for the guys coach to actually say it.

    Crazy.
