My interesting piece of memorabilia

In 2010 I went to one of my very first baseball games when I was 9 years old, I had brought a hat and a sharpie hoping to get an autograph! To my luck under one of the big Angels caps there was a long table of guys signing autographs, it was the 2010 Rancho Cucamonga Quakes roster. I went down the line and had everyone sign my hat and that was that. Later down the years I realized that a guy named Mike Trout was at that table before he had even made his MLB debut and signed my hat 🙂

  1. Wow, I have a hat just like this! My equivalent was I got an autograph from Torii Hunter at his Angels debut

  2. Man…

Funny enough I have a jersey folded up somewhere in a closet. Started out trying to just get “big name” guys on it at Spring Training. (My first, I had no idea how it worked).

I wanted it filled like this thing…

…. ended up just handing it to anyone who would sign. (Like the bullpen backup catcher, Bubba the guy that sold the sticky stuff, etc).

I haven’t seen that jersey in years (I got old and don’t want to spend money framing it like I wanted to when I was young). But I remember last time I saw it, there were some actual big named guys (I was connected with the Angels for a bit), but plenty of “who?” Mixed in…

…. but even funnier, I can’t read maybe 99 percent of the sigs. Each one could be Vladdy Sr or Justin Baughman for all I know.
