[Pete Caldera] Yankees GM Brian Cashman still open to adding pitching. “We’re not pencils down by any means.” What’s unclear is whatever remaining budget he’s operating with for ‘24.

Why would he give away his leverage
Regardless of what he says, I think they’re done making anything moves other than minor pickups.
These are the pitchers on the 40-Man who have options left:
1: Victor Gonzalez, Hamilton, Nick Ramirez, Marinaccio, and Gil
2: Nestor, and Cody Morris
3: Cody Poteet, and Clayton Beeter.
Everyone else in the bullpen or rotation either has 0 (Gomez) or is out.
He says this towards the end of every off season then makes either a lackluster move or none at all.
Cole, bury the hatchet and go get Bauer
Uh huh
Purely from a baseball point of view, wouldn’t Bauer make sense?
I mean I get all the clubhouse and non-baseball reasons why you wouldn’t but for the wins?…
