Brunson on NY: “When I’m walking down the street in the City & I see a fan just say ‘Yo what’s up’ & just keep it moving––I think that’s the coolest thing ever. ‘Yo, keep hooping, doing what you’re doing,’ like 2 ships in the night just walking past each other. I think that’s the coolest thing man.”

  1. Anyone else getting Derek Jeter vibes from Brunson? Always takes the high road, keeps his head down and works hard, and embraces NYC in a humble way. Just an easy guy to root for.

  2. I’ve always wondered if this is coded.’I don’t have time for yall. So please keep it brief, and if I don’t have to break stride, conversation, or whatever I was doing before you told me that I’m awesome, that would be ideal’.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that! But that’s materially different then how much celebs appreciate that passing big up, and I’m curious which is more genuine.

  3. Brunson is NYC

He grinds he hustles he gives it everything and leaves it all on the court

    The Face of a city

  4. Take notes, fellas.

They don’t want to stop and take pics or sign autographs. They wanna go about their business, but always appreciate a little recognition. Just don’t inconvenience them.

See it all the time and while many of them will smile and go along with it, the moment it’s over you can see how much they hate it

  5. I once passed Ewing at an airport on the way to my wedding and just said “Go Knicks” as I walked by. He flashed me a peace sign and nodded. One of the high points of my time as a Knicks fan
