I just saw this graphic and everything just clicked

God, Sam could’ve really benefited from Trent, Moses and Scherff

  1. The graph is for non pressured sack. Theoretically this would mean it doesn’t matter what kind of line you have. This is an even playing field look at the sack statistics. Whether Sam is pressured or not, in college he was still a sack machine. Purdy, Stroud and Lawrence being at the top is interesting. Doesn’t bode well for Daniels. But it is just one stat

  2. With Trent, Moses, and Scherff, Sam would still be a mediocre QB. He’s undersized with sub-par strength and accuracy. He can’t process a defense or get through progressions.

    5th rounder for a reason…

  3. I’m not going to say this means *nothing*, but if you look at the players and teams, the teams with the best offensive lines are all at the top. Seems awfully suspicious if it’s supposed to be a stat not accounting for o-line quality. There are a couple exceptions, but too much of a correlation for me to give this chart any credence

  4. Sam Howell – 26%

    Jayden Daniel’s – 25%

    Drake Maye – 19%

Not sure we’re getting away from this problem without spending a lot of capital on an o line
