  1. Assuming this is true, why the hell did we agree to this kind of structure in the contract with the jags?? What a stupid shitty loophole… (well, GREAT loophole from the jags perspective)

  2. I think people are looking at this the wrong way. He wasn’t worth last years pick and a second, with us only getting a third because we accepted a stupid clause. Market value was last years pick and a third this year. If he surpassed expectations, which would’ve been to play so well JAX has to sign him before deadline, then we would’ve gotten that market value in a second round pick. This upgraded pick was icing on the cake, not the core value of the deal.

  3. He says Jags will get a third in compensatory but that’s only in a vacuum if don’t sign anyone else. Theyll still prob need to sign another FA WR losing that compensatory third pick if that player is the same or better as Rid

  4. The deadline is the start of free agency.
If the jags want to ensure he doesn’t leave they will sign him before.

  5. There is absolutely an incentive for the Jags to sign him before March 13th if they don’t want to get in a bidding war. Ain’t no way y’all actually think that they would fuck this up with some shitty loophole some dude on Twitter easily uncovers lol
