[Pavlovic] Pablo Sandoval said his goal is to make the team, indicated he would be open to going to minors if he has to. He said he knows this is going to be really hard, but he isn’t ready to retire. “It’s amazing. It’s amazing. The time I was out, I missed it a lot,” he said.

  1. No offense to Pablo, but I hope the team isn’t in bad enough shape that he makes the opening day roster.

  2. Doomsayers be damned, seeing that the panda may be on the field opening day makes me excited. I want to see him retire in orange and black. Seeing him in the lineup after we beat the Dodgers in the postseason would just be so incredible. Heart means so much in this game. Go Pablo!

  3. Dudes had a wild career, high of highs and some real lows. One El Farolito burrito at a time, he will find his place.

  4. For everyone bitching about a guy trying to do something and wanting him to fail, remember last year we trotted out David Villar for a few weeks while he was hitting .137BA and made game losing defensive mistakes.

  5. Love the guy, but I think his time is past. He just played winter ball in PR and his stats were middle of the board at best

  6. Dudes 37 years old and batted .212 in the Mexican league last year…there’s literally no way.

  7. The people that are excited for panda are the same
people who don’t see the value in Chapman 😂

  8. Pulling for the guy! He also is ripped now and probably grew up a little. He’s already proven to be a clutch player at the highest level.

  9. I’m sure that’s his goal, and if he played so well he made the team… that would be something. But realistically, it won’t happen. So let’s enjoy seeing an old friend one last time. I know I’m looking forward to it.

  10. Lmfao this is what this team is limping to the barn with now. Call up Eli Whiteside while you’re at it
