Today I stumbled apon a random stat, that made me feel good about being a Hawks fan!

MNF stats are rather misleading in this instance, as ABC certainly wasn’t asking the NFL for that many Seahawks games during the many, many years in which they were middling to outright awful.
While it was one thing to schedule a bad NY Giants or Dallas Cowboys team, back then Seattle didn’t have nearly a large enough media market or national fan base to justify ABC scheduling a MNF appearance unless they were good enough that year to contend for the playoffs.
Given that ABC was particularly selective towards the Seahawks in decades past, it would stand to reason that they’d have a higher than usual winning percentage when they did actually get to play a MNF game.
