I’m bout it only because I’m super high on his bat, he can always get back to pitching if it fails
And Reggie Crawford is now a pitcher only? Did Eldridge even get a chance to pitch as a pro?
makes sense, he had even less of a chance at panning out as a two way guy than reggie crawford did

First Ohtani, now this. My dream of watching a two way Giant has been shattered once again.
In all seriousness, it just shows how rare of a talent Ohtani is, even though I dislike him very much right now.

This is gonna be way better for his development. Bryce’s hit tool is insane, and it looks like they believe in it so much so that they aren’t willing to mess around
I’m okay with it. It would not surprise me if he flies through the system. He has massive power and good plate discipline.
He has a chance to be a great hitter so I don’t blame them wanting him to focus as one. His power and bat speed could make him a Pete Alonso type hitter.
Damn, Called this one when the Crawford news came out lol.
I would expect him to get some corner outfield reps and maybe third base with his arm then.
It’s about time. It took too long with Crawford to get him to go only as a pitcher.
If a two-way player can’t be a starter, there is no practical way for them to play in today’s game. Even as an Opener, the practicality seems more fanciful than anything.
Have Reggie and Bryce do the fusion dance. Two-way problem solved
