I know we got GG and Vince as wings of the future, but I think we should keep Lamar.
As an old head GnG fan, I love his defense, toughness, and tenacity. That’s a Grizzlies player if I ever seen one.
As a stat head, I love that he can shoot a good clip from three above the break. He is still pretty bad overall, but 40% from above the break I hope is more of his sweet spot and not noise in the data.
This video shows stat breakdowns of his defense (0:23) and offense (2:19), so I was really impressed how informative it is.

I’m always weary of guys like this because time and time again a player gets traded to a new team, performs well for the first few games, then regresses back to the way they were playing which led to them becoming trade stock in the first place. Fans of his former teams probably viewed him the exact same way we view roddy now. Of course it’s too early to tell, so yeah i think there’s no harm in giving him run for the rest of the season
