  1. Here’s Graig’s image of my Mike Trout commission. It’ 18×24, and took 3 years or so. His wait time is now in the 8-10 year range, I believe.
Took us a while to find the right image, but Graig NAILED it. The light and reflection work is amazing. While it looks gorgeous here, it’s spectacular in person.
It’s now hanging in my Mike Trout display, with game-worn jerseys (pro, minor, and high school).

  2. Pretty fuckin’ sweet man. I really like what he did with the stands behind Trout too, it’s gorgeous!

  3. ahhh Mike Trout, the Prince that was Promised. In an age of baseball super teams full of unloyal baseball stars there is a man who sticks with his team whether they dont-win, lose or draw.

  4. Legend. Graig Kreindler is an amazing artist and one that inspires my own work.

His Babe Ruth series[[1]](http://www.baberuthcentral.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Graig-Kreindler.jpg) [[2]](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CDmrhTSWEAE8yBV.jpg:large) is one of my all-time favourite paintings. The chunky shapes of the face are beautiful.

He is a part of an awesome project painting players from the Negro and Latin American leagues. I’ve got [the book](https://shop.baseballhall.org/black-baseball-in-living-color-the-artwork-of-graig-kreindler/) which has a lot of historical information alongside his art. I’m not too far in (I’ve been looking at all the paintings) but I would definitely recommend it.

Edit: [Here’s an awesome video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fih3vaEPwlA) from him about his work. It has some pretty cool progress shots. Even just his basic wash/lay-in is something I would buy.

  5. Greg Kreindler is a legend at this point, and it’s my hope to commission a piece from him. With any luck, I’ll get on the list today and receive it sometime in around 2077.

  6. I’ll remember this fondly when I hear another pretentious asshole say that ”art has to challenge”

  7. I honestly think that’s one of the best paintings I’ve ever seen. Absolutely incredible. I can’t stop looking at various corners zoomed in. Highest of praise to Mr. Kreindler.

And thank you OP for allowing us all witness to this unique piece.
