[Mike Greenberg on Get Up] “Justin is well aware he is OUT of Chicago. … The best thing the Bears can do for him is to get him out of there as quickly as possible so he can begin the process of proving them wrong wherever he goes next.”

  1. Justin about to prove the Bears wrong by throwing for 228 yds 1 touchdown 1 interception and 59 rush yards, taking three 3rd down sacks in the process. 😤😤😤😤😤

  2. Grenny is a Jet’s fan. So hard LOL at him talking about us ruining QBs or putting them in bad situations.

  3. I don’t think I ever remember a professional athlete who has shown to be at the very best mediocre who has been as hyped up as the next great thing as Fields has by certain media people. There just seems to be this thing with Fields where people who don’t actually watch the Bears play every week and then sit down and watch the highlights on Monday morning on YouTube and ESPN and then decide that he’s a great player. It’s truly something I don’t ever remember seeing to this level with any athlete

  4. Don’t care what’s best for him honestly, I care about what’s best for the team. If that means waiting to trade him a week before the season starts (which won’t be the case), then so be it.

He is making millions and has had the opportunity to decide his fate by his own performances. Wish him well but the Bears owe him nothing like Greeny is suggesting lmao.

  5. i’ve never been more ready for a draft to be over. the hot takes and talking heads have beaten me down….i’m at the point where i don’t give a shit if it’s fields, williams, or if they sign joe flacco, lol, let’s just get this all over with and start getting ready for next season!!

  6. He shouldve proved us wrong in the last game vs Green Bay but he passed for 120 yards and ZERO touchdowns against our biggest rivals (proving us right)

  7. Remember when the Bears would play a primetime game and every NFL fan wanted to see them because Justin was so exciting?? Yeah that never happened and people hated seeing Chicago on MNF, TNF, and SNF because the offense sucked ass.

  8. This is my hot take. Because we’re the bears, we’ll trade Fields, he will excel in new environment, Caleb underwhelms, and we’re back in purgatory.

It’s not popular but I think you tank one more season with Fields at helm get another off seadon with 2 top 10 firsts… and then start finding/drafting QB.

  9. Bears fans in general are unhappy that the Bears are to be held accountable for flubbing the process.

Keeping Pace a year too long, he drafts Fields. Nagy wanted nothing to do with him and had no plan for him. Bringing in Getsy and giving him the cheapest, least experienced offensive assistants in the league. Tanking 2022 (I’d argue it’s the right move, but it’s not going to help any young QB develop)

Fields is now on his way out of Chicago. But people around the league are going to look at the high profile star from OSU that was heralded coming in, and they’re going to look at how Chicago handled everything and think “you guys went about this all wrong.”

And they should. Because we were all over the place. We all know this has not been a well-run organization.

  10. There’s a difference between “ruining” QBs and simply making the wrong pick. Lol

  11. Poles and company are feeding the media stuff to raise the price on the 1st pick. Fields is gonna be the QB for the Bears this year unless a team offers something ridiculous for him.

  12. In 2/3 years fields will be a backup and people will say the bears ruined him without understanding that he had too many fatal flaws in his game to be more than a backup

  13. I wish Fields the best. If he can get coached up somewhere new he could be a star. But I also know the Bears can’t afford to risk that and I am all for Caleb Williams

  14. Mike Greenberg’s constant ranting and raving about anything and everything is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

  15. The odds for Justin to come back to the Bears have increased from +650 to +200. No one knows anything…I generally enjoy speculation, but this is mind numbing. I wish the Bulls still played basketball.

  16. “… so he can begin the process of proving them wrong wherever he goes next.”

I don’t think Greenberg meant this will happen. I think he just means it’s going to be JF’s mindset, which honestly it should be. Yay for February NFL non-news.

  17. TIL that Trubisky is the 5th all time passing yards leader for the Bears. Fields is 10th. Idk if I expected either to be that high, but I guess it just goes to show how bad our QB situation has been over the years. Cutler is the leader by a mile.

  18. ESPN is a total joke. They’ve almost completely depleted their staff of actual journalists and are dedicated to this hot take style from their personalities.

  19. Sorry, but the best interest of the Bears should be the #1 priority, not the best interest of Fields.
