Wild @ Oilers 2/23 | NHL Highlights 2024

In that game versus Boston but they’re happy  to have him back in the line up and for Chris   noblock like the Top Line the way it was so he’s  stays in the second line with dry CID and Kane

Kicks it back to Darnell Mur on a pair with Cody  CeCe shot kicked to the corner by gson and flipped   out towards Center the wild of that an interesting  week a 107 Victory out lasting Vancouver on Monday

Afternoon and then a 6-3 loss to Winnipeg the  next day here’s a shot and the save on Marcus   Johansson the minute in the Pacific revers by  capriso wild don’t care they’re just trying to   get in here’s the steal by McDavid back in her  short side and that was repelled some meat out

Of their lineup with bino out Maron out ban out  they’ve got some fast players that have filled   go those holes and play a much quicker game  and get on you edmonson’s got 14 who’ve only   missed two or less big difference John Mar have  been banged up sharp angle shot the save made

By Calvin P spirited fight with Logan Stanley and  the loss to Winnipeg Ryan McLoud back on the park   for the oers shoot it save gamson rebound lovmark  Toof and Eric s had a six-point game in that half

Mentioned went over Vancouver chisel shot score  Eric Sak we told you he led the club in goals   that’s his 29th as he extends his own career high  and this has been a lot of talk for him 29th goal

Of the season if this counts now it might be  offside it’s really close as you can see cof   was right on that line coming through another they  are moing an official over to the Oilers Ben they

Believe this is offsite it’s going to come back  but that’s the Lightning Fast release of Eric s   this year and for the last couple of years just an  absolute rocket picking that corner it’s going to   come back it looks like that’s a short review  coaches challenge brought you by spec Savers

Quality I care the play it was deemed the puck  was offside part of the goal so he have no goal   at his own blue line that one his 12th year just  an anchor on the back end it’s really helped out

The penalty kill over the last dozen games since  coming back Su Carell short side they’re a little   more poised and structurally commitment committed  yep that’s a John Hein team too as well he’s   really a detailed guy bie breaks loose and denied  by Calvin picker he tried to slip behind Darnell

N zuk carella well penalty kill struggling  mightily lately and a save by picker on Matt   Baldi talked about this morning want to be a  little bit aggressive on pu turn things over   here’s a one-time ripped on net and a save made  by Calvin picker through traffic you’re not going

To bring that six-year-old game in here and  dominate me this this is my ice they’re not   competitive at all here’s Perry Perry in front  short side and that was stopped striding in from   the left hand side threw it around new a shot  redirected and a bad save made by Calvin picker

The game in Edmonton the wild Le on two occasions  and neither Club was able to hold it so both teams   mindful the first two were a little wild there’s  Middleton Bolding the a good chance that he scores Matt Baldi set up by Middleton and  Minnesota takes the one- nothing lead on baldi’s

21st of the year you’re going to watch Middleton  come up the ice here and there’s one poke check on   them a backtrack one miss right there and because  that puck is missed it gets shoved over to Baldi

So as that Co was aggressive coming across Baldi  recognizes there’s some space one quick move to   the middle and he releases on the Fly it’s just  back hand forehand it’s off this stick in a Flash

And it beats picker I mean that’s a 31 goal score  time will skate into it took a hard check from   Merill Shrugged it off stays with it beautiful  spin move hard to the that short side save gson

Rebound and Guston able to keep it out but this is  a good move by himman we didn’t see a lot of this   in the first period but we talked about bringing  the puck to the net Bob staer talked about the

Four check I talked about the physicality has  to be ratcheted up has to be more urgency right   there drle got 13 of them this year and he pulls  it back to Bard off the draw new Hopkins oers In

Search Of The Equalizer McDavid hit another post  again going short side on gson finding Newan Hopkins scor and we tied right on Q the  oer power play delivers and this crowd   easily it’s loudest all night 1-1 to find  him this is the first sequence in m David

Rang a couple bars as you mentioned  not one on the forehand side on the   backhand side in the first period this is a  beautiful little play here that little spin   backhand pass by McDavid receives it on the  forehand spins knows exactly where dry Sidle

Is this has by far been the best period for  the Edington ERS this year and especially the   last 2 and A2 months they have been  Dynamic they’ve closed out winds and   they’ve been able to come from behind  but they’re Relentless so far in this

Third ericon very engaged Eric s able  to tag back on side and now Minnesota   looks to assert itself in the offensive  zone Capri off the chiz of broin fir scores 2-1 Minnesota the wild take the lead for  the second time Theon night this line once again

Puck in the offensive zone they find possession  they have been all over it the entire night and   have been able to maintain that pressure and  hem whatever line they’re up against in and

This shot here just a lot of traffic in front of  Kelvin picker Rodin has a lot of time to walk in   and actually this one just goes through you know  for picker he has that glove in the spot he gets

A big chunk of it but it plows through but I  mean David dyle and Cory Perry out there but   the wild were able to come up with a face off  for one of the rare times tonight and now it’s

Harman in front three shot score and that BDI  in transition has his second of the night and   for the first time this evening Minnesota has a  two goal lead it’s 3 to one on baldi’s 22 finds

Baldi he finishes it off and little Bobble here by  CeCe but it’s the pressure once again on the for   check just getting in aggressively you’re going to  see hard but he tries to throw this aggressively

Through but the change up finds Baldi as you can  see nurse was in the right position but because   this Puck is slow Baldi takes the inside track  changes the angle that quick release again his

Second of the game dyle able to reel it in power  play at 25 seconds and gave it to dry CLE backand   hit his own man Heyman return to Bard at the point  this unit spent most of the time in the offensive

Zone D out a fire off the H tucks at home ed  second power play Go BRS the Oilers within 3 to two we just set things motion but just keep moving  that puck around get Minnesota Credit they were

Defending they were battling but eventually that  hard pass by Drive Sidle from the side Zack Heyman   flares out and he finds the loose jams and jams at  home this is kind of a shot I Believe by dry CLE

Gets deflected way to the opposite corner Merl now  mmma coughed it up steal by Ryan McLoud de shot   guided to the corner another shot save made down  and out got must of s still loose four player pile

Up grabbed by Cory Perry the shots in this third  period 20 to4 but Minnesota has to the three goals   the orders pouring it on fired in himman behind  spinning still lose saucering over to Leon dve

CLE couldn’t get it to McDavid Bard held it in  brilliantly so gell shoots at the empty net and scores 42 Wild Buck 27 to play the second whack  at it Minnesota bent but doesn’t break   and it’s zuk carella with a second  opportunity and it’s slapped down

The ice by Jake Middleton and there  won’t be icing the final score 42 and   the Oilers have lost backto back games  for the first time since mid December

  1. Great win for the Wild as they roll into Edmonton & stick it to the Oilers with a 4-2 Victory… The Wild stay hot & have now won 6 of their last 8 games…Mcdavid continues to struggle at scoring goals this season & was a complete defensive liability against the Wild going minus -4 tonight….

  2. SHOTS WERE 40 TO 18 ….GOALS WERE 2 TO 4 ….so pretty much another goalie / defense failure for the Grease Spot. What I also saw was quite a lot of whining to the Zebras by McD….which is pretty normal for him now ( becoming a real Prima Donna ) . Some more ( Kane last game ) of the Grease Spots flailing on the ice instead of standing / skating and defending ….maybe we are in for another 10 game slide .(?) …I guess the Prima Donnas think they have done enough and now it's time to start practicing the putting ….?

  3. OK 3 goals on only 6 shots, Edmonton had 68% of the faceoffs won, 43 shots on net, 100% on the powerplay, and lost by multiple goals? Ofcourse this makes McDavid and Draisaitl all angry and throwing fits, they'll NEVER win a cup with this team, I can't believe they're the odds on favorite to win the cup, not gonna happen. GG Wild

  4. The Wild win 4-2 only having 20 shots on goal when Edmonton had that many in the 3rd period alone. Only winning a total 18 face offs (32%), and 0-4 on the power play. I can’t wait to see this team for the 25/26 season once they are done with the Parise and Sutter debacle.

  5. Way to go Gus, 43 shots on goal, Boldy playing his game, and the rest of the Wild boys playing hard, Huge Win! Leaving Canada 2 out of 3 ain't bad! 🏒🏒

  6. McDavid sucks at Defense and just average at faceoffs while also just average at goals.
All he can do is assist (usually secondary and on pp)
Thats not "best in the world" worthy in my eyes.
I despise the Oilers but i really think they should trade McDavid for Defenders or goalies….
He takes up all that cap space for
    secondary assists?

  7. Offense having to compensate for the terrible defense and goaltending every game is not sustainable. That's the reason why they do well in the playoffs at first, only to then get steamrolled in the later rounds. They will never win a championship with this roster.
