There’s a big difference between your best player and a ‘leader’. Some players can be both (LeBron), but it’s not the same for every team; Draymond’s never been the best player on the Warriors, Kawhi’s not very vocal at all, etc. And yeah, LaMelo’s probably gonna be injury-prone for the rest of his career. He’s probably not much of a ‘team leader’, either. But he’s still the best player on the team, no matter how much you hate flashy play.
