How many more years do we get out of Jake Matthews?

  1. Trent Williams is still one of the premier left tackles in football at 35.

    It’s becoming more of a young man’s game but guys like Matthews with his history of durability and high level play into his early 30s can conceivably still last another 6 to 8 years.

    IMO replacing him isn’t a top level priority.

  2. The Matthews family are just built different. His dad played 19 seasons, albeit in a different era.

    With good conditioning and a bit of good luck to avoid major injury, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s got another 5 years in the tank.
