Solomon: Time is ripe for Texans to overtake Cowboys in the eyes of Texas

This will never happen. Dallas has decades of entrenching themselves as a super popular franchise. Even if the Texans won the next 3 superbowls Dallas would still be the biggest team in the state.
Even after ALL the winning the Patriots did Dallas is still the most recognized franchise in the NFL.
Should stop trying to supplant them because it’s not going to happen. Houston needs to focus on making Houston football great.
You should drive around El Paso neighborhoods some time. Some blocks will have more cowboy starred address numbers than not. People show up geared head to toe to buffalo wild wings on Sundays. It will take us winning for generations before some of these Cowboy ties die.
Cowboys are a colt (cult!) following. Texans will never overtake Dallas.
I’m not even sure the Texans are as popular yet as the Oilers were. Let’s do that first.
As someone who lives in Dallas and has been wearing Steel Blue and Battle Red since the beginning in 5th grade, please. I heard it all throughout high school.
Would love to call out these bandwagon hoes. I got a list and I’ll check it twice.
Demeco and CJ are hugely likable and marketable. All it will take is a bit of winning.
Cowboys are the biggest franchise in all of sports in America. Let them keep it, it makes it all the more funnier when their fan base cries after being stuck in the divisional round. What I want is for us is our fandom to surge like the chiefs and golden state because of our dominance.
