Bruno: “So then you wake up at 4 in the morning and you’re like, ‘(Expletive), I benched him, is that the best thing for him? How can I give him better opportunities?”
I like this guy. It’s easy to say we are in the same spot as last year, and yah, there is some truth to that in the numbers. It’s a different roster. Different team. Different system. Different expectations. Taking stock of what we have and trying to instill the expectation (as Bruno put it in a prior interview somewhere) that it is acceptable to be outplayed but it won’t be tolerated to be outworked.
McD, ROR as alternates isn’t a fluke, Smith and McCarron getting contracts isn’t either. Lauzon and Sissons having career years in various ways.
On IOS you can hit “show reader” and get past the paywall
I think I shed a little tear reading Lauzon inspiring fear in top lines.
