[Robinson] Don’t look now, but Jonathan Lekkerimäki has 7 goals in his last 7 games. He’s up to 17 goals in 40 SHL games – tops among all U24 skaters. He’s 19 years old

  1. Good to see him comeback strong, he also had a good Juniors tournament. Good building blocks for him.

  2. This is after a very strong World Juniors tournament. It’s honestly nice to excited about prospects in the Canucks farm system.

  3. His 2 linemates that were drafted in the 1st round last season (all playing in the same league, but different teams):

*Ohgren* (4 picks after Lekkerimaki) is 5th in team scoring (I’m basing it on PPG because he missed a lot of games)

*Ostlund* (1 pick after Lekkerimaki) is 9th in team scoring.

Lekkerimaki is 1st in team scoring (points and goals).

  4. That mono set him back too, I wonder just a little bit where he would be if not for that.

Let him cook and get the reps in. It’s sure nice to see him and Willander growing in their current roles. (Please don’t trade them…)

  5. I would like for us to really hang on to him and not spend him for someone who can help us now. Having a player like him coming up will be instrumental in extending our compete window.
