  1. “Honestly if we go on a win streak, do you think Hawks will start to have conversations about Trae in the offseason?”

  2. A few points (I’m posting the same thing in /r/nba, so please only downvote in this thread):

    1. Hawks are way more entertaining when they win.

    2. Okongwu has proper Hawks fan energy: since he’s unable to play (like me), he’s leading the hype train on the bench.

    3. Trade Trae and Dejounte to some sus biomedical company that can flash clone Jalen Johnson, we have 15 of him and get a 4 peat.

    4. In seriousness, movement has looked a little bit better in general, and the most surprising improvement (for the time being) has been playing Hunter off the bench and starting Bogi. I think it’s because of a minutes restriction for Hunter but it’s still interesting. I think Bogi is still a somewhat below average defender but he does get some clutch blocks/steals.

    5. Clint is looking better and better, hopefully his injury woes are behind him. It looks like the ASB was good for everyone except Trae.

    6. Was so happy to see John got a baptism this game.

    7. Kobe Bufkin has been very good in the minutes he’s played. Hawks could spookily still make the playoffs at this rate.

    8. At what point does a salad become a zalad? It’s when you add the egg roll. I was going to provide some criticism of the Jazz for being terrible but I wanted to provide a non obvious insight into the evening’s proceedings.

  3. John Collins 5 pts 5 turnovers 4 personal fouls -20 I couldn’t script a better disasterclass from him

  4. Can’t believe it took 2 games for all the trolls to come out begging to trade the best player we’ve had in 30 years.

  5. 2nd half Hawks baby!! Fresh legs Trae gonna come back and set the league on fire with this squad in a month

  6. Wow, gotta love a game like that. All positive +/- for the boys and great team play. Shame it had to be on JC return

  7. good win but for the last month and a half this team just goes on a lil streak followed by a losing streak and it’s a never ending cycle

  8. We play the nets twice in a row if we beat them to go on a 4 win streak the “trade trae” mfers gonna be even more unbearable

  9. Seth Lundy is ready. If the Skyhawks can develop Mouhamed Gueye and give AJ Griffin his confidence back.. the Hawks have a nice squid

  10. beating two absolutely rat teams is not going to stop me from gleefully banging the Trae Young Ewing Theory drum until we lose.

  11. All these players coming back from injures better then ever is a sign of good things for OO and Trae.

  12. Good win. Two good games in a row. I now understand why the Hawks kept Kobe out of trade talks. As for any “Hawks are better without Trae” talk, I’m going to need a much bigger sample size than a win over a Magic team missing their best player and the Jazz. Let’s see where the team is at when Trae returns.

With all that said, watching this team is much more fun when we win.

  13. ngl rest of team looks 10x better without Trae – maybe less energy spent compensating for his defensive assignment?

Maybe just ORL / UTA guard rotations being trash-tier…

  14. Crazy how our first round draft pick is actually pretty good when he gets playing time.  Who would have thought.

  15. Jalen really kept this team together in the 1st half. It’s time for Kobe to stay in the rotation going forward.

  16. Really like what we have seen from Bufkin so far. Would love to see him get more minutes as the season comes to a close. Jalen was fantastic as usual. I get this season has sucked ass but if Jalen continues to develop that’s two pieces of a great team right there.
