Stars @ Avalanche 2/27 | NHL Highlights 2024
See right away Dallas starting with some energy coming off a back to back important for them to get going get in the rhythm of this game after that coming flying in from Dallas last night and here is Logan stankoven who Blake spotlighted in sten’s third career NHL game 21-year-old
Yesterday out in front he scores a minute in his second in the inning gel stankov again all I was going to say is I love his nickname stanky gets on the board debut this kid has had take a look
Away you know the darts go to work I talk about their energy and what do they do they just work hard along the wall right there that was the play from Wyatt Johnson gets his assist he got the assist on his first goal not intimidated by the moment that’s the biggest thing he’s
Had so much success at other levels he comes in he debut against Carolina I mean that’s a team doesn’t give you much time and Over The Line a shot from out high from Ryan Johanson Chris Wagner Court line Center fights for it in the corner a Ryan suder is back on it the
Star is getting healthier on the blue line like we said Andrew kagano jumped in shot score yoel kirata ties it at one 68 seconds later against his former team up a lot of the first goals he likes their resilience and response but here they’re on the receiving end of this it’s a
Great regroup what I really like about this from Colorado is the quick regroup they lose possession in the zone they don’t take a lot of looks it’s one quick D Tod pass and they re-enter the zone
And what a beautiful finish posted in the assist to kagato at 208 for Colorado to tie this thing up both former stars both of them playing in thr teams and here is Ranon it back door McKinnon is denied by tinger Nathan McKinnon plays with an incredible urgency and he’s crashing the
Net you see he actually turns around you can see connects with the veteran pavelski in over the line got met there Robertson for pavelski tried to fling it on in the direction of hin hin in from the point rebound given up by gorv you know right now I think it favors
Dallas you got Colorado is such a quick strike team’s Rony connecting on the Hop mckin Den by a rebound is loose mckin shoot Roes in front and put home Ronin scores and the Avalanche lead well I was just talking about how they’re a quick Strike Team they come through the neutal
Zone is blazing speed here and it’s a quick shot by the way ainger one to save two saves three saves that one was incredible and then just not enough help from his Defenders at that point
To clear out the swarming Colorado Avalanche so a really good job by the Avalanche a pivot on lein it moved along for Harley a shot off a skate in front he retrieves it plays it around a little bit
Out of the reach of Robertson who got it back for on that atoria back to- back games with a goal for Miko ranin started the night tied for ninth in the NHL with his 74 points and he has
Added to it with the assists to McKinnon and lein in his line mates well you look at Rand then too he has just been Johnson the shot a big save by gorv with Dallas getting a rush chance right back
Bounces down in the direction of byro flung toward wood but picked up by stankoven worked to the net backhand bid denied by Ben a little bit early in this game it was still three goals already but
You can see Dallas they’re fighting to come back in we talked about the back to back but they’ve got a tough schedule they have to fight against it and and for Colorado watch that they let him get
Inside you got Ben in there you got John try to fight it it’s a good one here so faren carried it in got it off to the corner for Marchman hock andp fans on that here comes Colorado on the rush Joe
Hansson in over the line survey Johanson on net at ainger made the stop collected by Steel and the stars out to center eain for steel on the second line wing it out in front good spit from Josh
Manson on a pass intended for Matthew Shane coming off his 800th career point last night with a goal on the power play endell toward the net wanted a tip from Sam steel parked in front knocked down
By TR on to in the high slot he’s stick handles and shield Mai fighting with Handley for that pesi tried to stop at home loose for drwan and a good stick from Marchman help that along for
Dallas pass ping good chance is on both sides now a giveaway from Taves the landria tried to play it deep instead Jack Johnson stepped in and allowed for some time for Devon who takes a hit
In the corner from radic foxa now McKinnon drags in and just s It Wide Dallas wanted a Too Many Men didn’t get it and turned over here is McKinnon moving in McKinnon and a save uner makes another
Stop on Nate McKinnon but I’m going to take a shot this guy doesn’t have his stick and then Nathan McKinnon watch his right knee Colton moving in with pice he bed out in front and broken up by
Hinin Johnston speeds to it for Dallas on the rush with stovin drop back for Ben better shot to save goria throughout the transition game of Colorado all night how about Dallas coming in with speed through the neutral zone keeping it north south keeping it simple and then best
Home team at altitude in the NHL po the head toward Wagner sprung to by kagano he shoots Scot it’s a two goal Avalanche lead backto back games with a goal for the veteran Andrew kagato see Lindell does take the take he’s
Going to you’re going to watch him see him take the pass away but there’s this mess in the neutral zone and kagano is the one who comes out with the puck and he explodes past all the Dallas
Stars Dallas is thinking they’re going the other way kagano at 709 for Chris Wagner on the fourth line for the Avalanche which has now supplied a couple of goals with Ki rotha and kagano two
Of the three for the ads L Car pinched down the wall got it free for lein it now McKinnon scor and a heartbeat 49 seconds later had an assist second point of the night explosive
Play Jake AER comes out in the trapezoid plays the puck up but it’s a great it’s a really good pitch by Kale Mard that’s what makes this happen that’s what allows Nathan McKinnon to come in here he’s
On his back end look at his eyes that was a great look at it he’s got his eyes up trying to see who can pass to but they give him a lane do Journey and it’s the work ethic too you it’s famous and
Bnar reiterated that he said that just the way he treats himself the way what he eats everything he is just so motivated to be the best REI worked it out for Johanson and AER made the stop given away
And a tip out kin to the right of giorg Andrea to stuck that one home he got tangled with a stick behind the play matched up with M drewan drops ranton loads ranton Drew in back SW they
Score aru Le it on the power play f it 51 their penalty Killers down low and they wrap around tried to good job by goria Nathan McKinnon tries to take off it’s really good defense
Right there you can see and then what happens is they go to work what I like about it this big wide triangle how do you defend that when your the puck is going one way come across and it’s drewan with a excellent look up to leenan it’s really hard to defend that
Quick quick movement but you look at how this puck it’s rantin it marchment was behind the net just didn’t have the legs end of his shift to get there for that rebound one got dropped past marar Ben speeds to it he’s with Johnston Ben shoots
Gor we’ll work on getting Blake’s audio back this one got broken up from Wagner scooped with 5 Seconds to go loed ahead race to by duine the net front and gorv keeps it out

This is why the Stars needed to win both games at home from earlier in the season against this Avs team because this game was going to be a scheduled loss with it being the third game in four nights, playing in three different cities. For the second straight season, the stupid NHL has made the Stars play at the Avs on the second night of a back-to-back (their final regular season meeting will be on the second night of a back-to-back on April 7th) and with having to deal with the altitude in Denver… that's a huge advantage for a team like the Avs, especially with both teams fighting for the top spot in the Central Division. Thanks, NHL.
Safe to assume that literally nothing happened in the third period.
3period last second I thought they would put 1 more goal hahaha
my heart went balistic man,
My bet entered under 6.5 goals😎

Whoever this color analyst is, she uses ten times the amount of words necessary for a color analyst. It’s like listening to my ex-wife yell at us about hockey. Jesus.
Nice win, but this team consists of one first line, and three fourth lines. Nowhere near cup level
Why did they even get Parise? Frankly, I would have given the spot to a promising youngster. I am also not very pleased with Drouin still
crazy 3rd period
Is Landeskog ever coming back? Are they counting on suiting him up only for the playoffs? Judging by how this team slumps hard every time when a new (or new old) player gets added into the lineup, i say that Landy should come back at no later than the 65-70 game mark
GG Avs
If u ever feel useless, just remember there's a 3rd period transition in this video…
I am still not enough happy for the Avalanche..i think if there were the relentless 2021-22 Stanley Cup winning Avalanche team here(i mean by performance) they would absolutely smoke the Stars even more after scoring 5 goals in the 2nd period..
I am assuming that the 3rd period was boring.
