I see a lot of “Ifs and buts” he’s got about two to three years to see if he can make his vision real
Basically added a whole draft class of picks. And there’s still more pieces to trade
All done in a flat cap, good work
Hopefully we can package some of these picks for proven players later on, don’t wanna be the Arizona coyotes
James Johnson can write lists!
Well. If the goal was to never be able to pronounce any player on the team, we’re halfway there
And that 2023 Round 3 pick turned into Aydar Suniev who’s having a great year in the NCAA as a rookie
When Burke was in charge, we had all the Americans
When Treliving was in charge, we had all the Swedes
Conroy has been acquiring a significant amount of Russians
I honestly think this shows just how good he’s done so far. He moved 4 “rentals” all of an older age, to bring in two roster players, potentially 2 top liners.
A bunch of picks. And 3 interesting prospects one of which is pretty highly touted.
While I’m not overly impressed with the Tanev deal by itself, the fact that he’s turned 4 UFAs into a full set of draft picks, two conditionals, two roster players, and three prospects is a pretty good turnaround for under a year in charge.
No breakout superstars to replace Gaudreau/Tkachuk/Lindhom/healthy Monahan YET, but definitely has the leash to do what needs to be done.
Thank god, it feels like this team has had such a habit of just allowing UFA’s contracts to end and the players end up signing somewhere else in recent years.

Also Pachal and Greer claimed from Waivers
Disimone and Ruzicka lost on Waivers.
