  1. Positives from today’s Cleveland baseball:

    Gavin “Big Rig” Williams made his first spring appearance today and is a force on the mound, going 2IP, 0H, 0R, 1BB, and 4K, with one strikeout being Mike Trout. Adam Oller, Anthony Gose, and Tanner Burns each had a scoreless inning of work (though Burns’ was heart attack inducing).

    Estevan Florial joined the Guards with an offseason trade that saw Cody Morris head over to the Yankees in return for Florial. Florial has seen the majors four times across the past four years, but never for more than 19 games. Last year, he had 71 plate appearances with the Yanks with a .230/.324/.312 split, and 7BB to 20Ks. He did average .284 last season in AAA with 28 home runs so the potential is definitely there, but strikeouts(144 last year in 409 ABs) and the zone overall have been a constant concern.
