That would require him making it to free agency. He’s probably gonna get tagged. Luckily there are gonna be a ton of above average safeties available in free agency that won’t he expensive. Xavier McKinney would be a great fit imo and would probably only cost like $8 mil a year.
I don’t think Antoine Winfield Jr hits the FA market.
I’d say Geno Stone, who’s still crazy young and won’t get paid by Baltimore
Budda Baker would fit well too, though he will be expensive
Nobody will like it but my feeling is that Savage might be the guy for the new scheme. We need a safety and I like him more than any other FAs outside of Winfield. Nick Collins in his first few years was also mostly bad with flashes of playmaking ability, Savage might just be a bit behind and needing a DC who knows what he’s doing.
If you are willing to part with our first round pick, then yes he makes sense. He will likely be franchised this year.
McKinney or Stone
I want to bring back Micah Hyde on a cheap 1 year deal. I don’t even care if he’s good or not anymore, I just love him and want to rectify the mistake of letting him leave in the first place
