What kind of work? Like janitorial work? Or like get a lift in with the team work and say some words to younger players work?

5 years ago I went to the Chargers game at the soccer stadium and Merriman was out there greeting the fans in the endzone during warmups. He worked his way down the line, shook my friends hand, then got to me. I said “lights out!” and offered a fist bump. He gave me the dirtiest look for no reason, took his hand back and said “psh naw”, shook his head, looked up at the sky for a split second, then moved on- all smile for the next guy. I guess he was offended I used his catchphrase?
Nope, that wasn’t it at all. My dumbass wore was wearing a bright orange rain jacket that day, and we were playing the Broncos. Had Chargers gear on underneath, but it was zipped up so I was just a traffic cone with a navy blue beanie and a stupid grin. He’s the man.
A whole day!? Fuck he’s serious
I love how much Merriman still loves the chargers.
I don’t know of any other former Charger who is such a hype man! He’s still bolting the f up! 👊🏽⚡
