Day 33 of posting my favorite Raiders player to wear the number of the day: Eddie Anderson

Sorry for the late post but man this one racked the hell outta my brain. I was stuck between 2 great Raider safeties in Anderson and Branch, both played with a chip on their shoulder and hard until the final whistle. But one of the 2 won me over from the start as a youngin, and that was Anderson. His 102 yard pick 6 against Miami is the longest in Raiders history. I remember when he retired, all the Raiders fans in my family were worried because it left such a huge hole in the secondary. And then along came Mr. Woodson and Anderson was quickly forgotten about. But I still appreciate all he did for our team.

  1. All time tackles leader (since the stat was recorded)…I sometimes wonder if he should be considered an all-timer. Might be underrated
