Still a Buc: Mike Evans and the #Buccaneers have agreed to terms on a two-year deal to avoid free agency and keep him in Tampa, per his agents @DerykGilmore and Darren Jones. From the seventh pick in 2014 to potentially the Hall of Fame, Evans might do it all in a Bucs uniform.

  1. He’s officially off the table. Never thought him to the Jets was ever going to happen. It was a fan pipe dream. I’m calling it now the only vet WR Jets will attract is going to be Odell unless they massively overpay.

No top vet is coming over to a regime under a mandate to win now or be fired unless jets overpay. The situation is just too volatile

  2. Evans was never a realistic target if we’re being honest; I don’t think anyone should have expected him to leave the Bucs. We’re probably looking at Ridley as our best realistic option, or Davante as our new “pipe dream” addition.

  3. yeah he was never leaving the bucs. they are a great franchise and he stays in florida with no income tax.

  4. Jets need a reliable number 2 not a 1A/B. The money needs to go to the guards in FA this year.

  5. Big blow to the Madden GMs who wanted to sort by overall and sign the guy at the top

  6. i guess all that talk about wanting to play with an elite qb and etc was bullshit huh. poor chris godwin

  7. Every offseason a big fish is “rumored” to “test the market” and Jet fans create their offseason fantasy around acquiring them. Then the news comes out they’re staying or being tagged and it’s a SHOCK lmao without fail.

  8. Jets aren’t going to swim in waters this deep. It’s going to be KJ Osborne or Odell and JD will try to sell Odell as a star and having arods endorsement

  9. Good. Evan’s was the classic “Jets throw a ton of money at him and find out his career is over the moment he puts the uniform on”

  10. The more thing progress, the more I lean to drafting a WR. OL market looks 3x better then the WR market right now, and the draft looks stacked from the top for WR.
