  1. Bit of an overpay IMO but not a big deal (was hoping for something closer to 2/16m-2/20m). 4-5m isn’t that big a deal in this rising cap environment.

    Happy to have him locked in.

  2. Big fan of the extension. Kelly will be invaluable for the development of our passing forwards + Jak. Not to mention the Canadian buff.

  3. teams would have given him a 3rd maybe even a 4th year at around 10-11 mill maybe 9, Masai hates giving those longer term contracts so giving slightly more for a shorter team is better

  4. Glad to have him around. Great vet and can give you solid C mins when Jak is out. Now resign IQ, trade Bruce, and waive McDaniels this off-season, and we’ll be cooking. 🔥

  5. Even if people think he would’ve gotten less in free agency, the problem was his cap hold is about 23 mill or so.

    So if you let him test market you lose that cap space flexibility than if you extend him now
