If you’re looking for a place to invest some of **Washington’s** ample salary cap space, you could do a lot worse than adding an elite skill player at a premium position.
The guy’s on the right side of 30 & has several seasons of prime level play left in the tank.
Not to mention, he’d be an awesome addition to a **Commanders** secondary that faces AJ Brown and CeeDee Lamb twice each season.
The **Commanders FO** should be looking to add more secondary depth in the draft, for sure, but this guy is an instant upgrade at a position that would have an outsized impact.
Those types of players don’t come along every FA window.

Giving up picks for the right to offer a market setting contract almost never works. It’s spending your draft picks on free agents. Might as well just use your picks or sign the free agent, not do both in one shot.
