We all saw this coming, question is what happens next
Hoping whatever happens it is settled before the draft. This going into training camp and the regular season for a second straight season would just be extremely frustrating.
Hopefully we can still get a long term deal worked out. Would really prefer not to create a hole at one of the most valuable positions in the nfl with our 20 other holes we have coming up and our sub par draft capital.
I hope we trade him. Wayyy too much deadcap.
Why not go with non-exclusive franchise tag, let another team offer him a deal and we can match or get two 1st round picks?
Looking forward to another single digit sack season for a “premiere” edge rusher.

Officially the non-exclusive tag. So that means this likely continues and Carolina uses this as a bargaining chip for negotiations. Or they draw enough interest and find a trade candidate.
If the negotiations extend past the draft, it likely means he’s here to stay. If an extension does get done I think it’s most likely that he does extend during or after the draft, similar to the Lamar situation
