I’m not saying this isn’t impressive for a career – because it obviously is – but this is kind of fluffed a bit. Wouldn’t it be simpler (and arguably more impressive?) to say he’s the only player to ever win 3 cups and back to back Smythes?
Only 3 guys have ever won back to back Smythes period, and the other two (Lemieux and Bernie Parent) both only won two cups in their careers.
