[Seravalli] Still 3 days to go, but sounds increasingly unlikely that Flyers will be re-signing both Sean Walker and Nick Seeler. They’ve got a good feel now on what both will cost. Meantime, they’re fielding trade offers for both and will weigh return vs. extension. One likely traded.

  1. No more half measures. We’ve had enough of that under Hextall and Fletcher. Trade both of these guys for max value.

Commit to the rebuild. Don’t overpay for an aging depth defender at his peak value.

  2. Get them picks, Danny. I would keep Seeler and trade Walker. Then if by the time the offseason rolls around and our younger defensemen in the AHL aren’t ready yet I would bring Walker back if he wants to return considering he said he loves it here.

  3. It takes a lot of years for those picks to turn into Nhlers. Especially defensemem

  4. Interesting waiver drops today. I know they said Briere may be looking for a bottom six guy if he wants to gain anyone, feel like Sam Gagner would be a great free add for us without giving anything up. Would make rationalizing trading the rentals easier Danny, just saying

I still think both get moved, Seeler maybe less so because of his ambiguous health situation currently, but I truly think this was always the plan, and the resigning talk were smoke and mirrors. The rebuild is still on. Hope something happens soon

  5. Not ashamed to admit that I really wanna keep Seeler. Love the guy, all heart and soul. Not a bad hockey player by any means and he clearly loves it here

  6. Unless they are willing to accept much less than they were reported as wanting earlier I say we trade both and call it a day.

  7. How would y’all feel about trading them together for a 1st and a 3rd? Walker alone not quite worth a 1st and Seeler alone maybe worth a 2nd, so something like this to average it out and still snag a 1st rounder in the process? Tell me if I’m way off

  8. I just don’t see the point in crippling the back end this late in the season for mid picks especially with our injuries. Ride it out, get that playoff experience, resign one of them in the offseason to be that vet D guy and recoup more assets at the draft by trading guys like Laughton.

  9. I think u keep Laughton. Need some experienced guys like him and Couts to go along with all of these young guns.

  10. Whoever we trade I Would prefer some returns of players/prospects instead of picks. Our team with torts is kind of unique so I want guys that fit. Like how we fixed risto I want others that have talent that we can fix
