  1. For the first time since he’s been coach I’m gonna say Nick Nurse lost us a game. Wtf were some of the lineups tonight. Imagine not giving Ricky Council a single minute. Just terrible game management in a game we need to win to keep our seeding where it is

  2. Short handed is an understatement, but that was a winnable game and wasted opportunity to gain one on the Knicks

  3. An easy win with Maxey, but we got outplayed in the 4th.

It’s frustrating but it’s where we are right now.

  4. A good win followed by a bad loss.. Injury bug is a bitch this season.

We didn’t realize how good we had it in November before everyone got sick or hurt. If Maxey was in this game it was an easy dub.

  5. Kyle Lowry pretending to be a quarterback calling plays in the 4th like w t fffffff.

  6. Just sit embiid the entire season and see morey’s shitty star hunting plan fail. No point risking anything further.

I’m also not at all impressed with nurse’s tenure here he’s basically doc 2.0 with minor adjustments

  7. Maxey just had to get a concussion. We legit can’t beat anyone without one of our best two players

  8. Nurse is the anti-Doc. Gets the most out of his stars, and the least out of his scrubs

  9. Crazy how winning this would have us at the 4 seed but the loss puts us at the 7. I’ve kind of resigned myself to the play in and don’t care much, but losing tonight sucked since it felt so winnable.

Interior defense just feels bad. When anyone gets beat on the perimeter, it’s a free bucket.

Offense seemed fluid at times and then totally stagnant at others, but overall I thought it was ok especially given the personnel.

  10. stop making excuses, that was an awful loss. lowkey one of the most painful of the season. we had a 14 point lead in the first half and then nurse brings in dowtin and martin, the nets go on a huge run to cut the lead to 2 while he refused to call a timeout.

then in the 4th we’re up 8 and nurse goes to the small ball batum at the 5 leading to a 15-2 run in which the nets took the lead and never looked back. again, he failed to call a timeout until the lead was gone.

i know nick has been great for the most part so far, but stuff like this and playing maxey 41 minutes a game are a little concerning. sometimes i wonder if nurse is actually that good or if doc was just so awful that anyone looks much better by comparison. i suppose a combination of both. whatever i’m stoned and rambling

edit: and not playing c4 at all in this game simply makes no sense

  11. I just want to say, in our injured state we are beating teams that we aren’t supposed to beat, but more impressively, teams are not assuming we’re the easy game on the schedule. Teams are balling against us because they know we are coming out to ball too

  12. That was a joke. This team is really Embiid Maxey and a bunch of other guys. Hope we can at least beat Memphis tomorrow

  13. Tough season. Injuries, moving pieces…. Really difficult for them to develop an identity.

  14. I honestly don’t care much about this loss cuz watching the CeltiKKKs blow a 22 point lead in the 4th quarter to Dean fucking Wade was absolutely hilarious lmfao

  15. was really banking on this and memphis being Ws in my optimistic predictions of getting 5 wins before embiid comes back. that was before maxey was ruled out

  16. This loss was really on Nurse. Just bad rotations playing Dowtin over Council was fucking weird and then played Batum way too much and played Buddy too little.

  17. Grizzlies won yesterday against Nets getting bigger and outmuscle them and we go for a small ball in last quater? This is on Nurse.

  18. Nets just got to the rim at will towards the end, there’s no rim protection at all from either of our centers and the perimeter defense is shit. It begs the question if a 1st round exit really is that bad, cause Reed maybe just isn’t the guy worth keeping as the backup center. Anyways, Melton and Embiid fix the perimeter D and interior D massively but they’re out obviously.

Buddy and Tobias don’t mesh well, and Buddy has straight up been bad since Tobias returned. That said, you can clearly see how much defensive attention and respect Buddy gets from the opposition, he’s a ceiling-raiser type guy who gets shut down with enough defensive attention. Oubre and Payne had decent games.

Nick Nurse had a coaching disasterclass. Absolutely mind-boggling rotations, putting in Dowtin…why?
