9. To be fair, this is kinda silly. The Hanifin rumors weren’t some forum based fan fiction. Basically every reputable hockey insider has been reporting mutual interest for weeks. My guess is it was likely coming from Hanifin’s camp and JBB did his due diligence on it. And we are still being linked to core type defensemen.

11. I’m hearing Vegas and Tampa coming close to a deal where Tampa acquires Hanifin for some stale Cheetos and a half drank Mountain Dew.

13. I feel like an underrated part of this is that resigning hanifin would’ve likely eaten the cap we need to resign stamkos going into next season no? For sure would limit the cap space we’d have to make it work.

15. It was legit. The Bolts just didn’t couldn’t meet the asking price. Hanifin handcuffed Calgary with his NTC and made it known that he was interested in Tampa. Then the Knights swooped in with a better offer….Plus Calgary is still bitter about us beating them in cup finals 20 years ago so they said “screw them”.
