As someone who had hope for the young gunz I’m feeling pretty happy with where we’re at

I, along with everyone else, am appalled that a team that’s a quarter of a season into a rebuild, and missing their 2 most important players, lost to a team that’s 12 games over .500 and has 2 all star calibre players
Y’all need to touch grass because this isn’t going to get any easier
I always find games like these in what is a losing season to be a bit amusing
Yeah, yesterday was awful but we were missing our best and 3rd best player, what were you expecting against a very competitive Pelicans team?
At this stage, just enjoy the ride and hope things go our way in t-69 days

I started following the Raps not long after Bosh left. So I haven’t been through the real dark times like some of the old heads on here.
But I remember getting excited when we traded away Bargs and when we got Rudy Gay. I remember wondering why I decided to pick the Raps as my team when we traded Gay, thinking we were heading into a rebuild.
The unexpected ascension after the Gay trade, to the frustration of the Lebronto years, to finally winning in 2019 was a ride.
If you’re not expecting ups and downs when following a franchise I don’t know what you’re doing. You might as well shift your fandom to bandwagon ring chasing like an old vet.

This team needs to figure out who they are, they lack an identity and the defensive effort has been pathetic…you can lose and do it with your head held high knowing that you gave it your all but I didn’t see a team that was hustling on defense last night, especially the bench, If you’re given 10 to 15 minutes a game you have no excuse but to hustle your ass off! you should be out of breath when you hit the bench…it’s why having Boucher out there with the young guys is so important IMO because he’s built a career on hustle, but Darko doesn’t seem to understand that apparently…
We could lose every game from here on out, I could care less as long as everyone is out there giving 100% on both ends but I’m not wasting my time watching the garbage that I witnessed last night…guys taking plays off, guys complaining and jogging back on defense, guys not running out to the corners to block threes etc.

I think what we have now is a start, but still need more talent. Our team’s median age is 26 and most of the players are around 25 years old. Hopefully some of these picks hit this year.
I’ll get downvoted first this but I’m also not sure about Darko as a head coach. I also find it strange that a development team hired an external rookie coach who’s also developing. Doesn’t make much sense in my opinion. Too often the team looks unprepared and disorganized.

Truth be told, I am happy we are retooling and losing. I don’t care about the 2024 but it’s going to be so refreshing to see the bandwagon fans leave the raptors (and this subreddit) until championship time. 😂.
I have been a fan since the first day raptors played a game and I am grateful for the 2019 championship we hold.
You think this is bad? We had been constantly worse in the past. Trading Vince for that garbage return, Grunweld, the bargnani pick just to remind y’all of what dark times really was for this team.

This young group looks pretty good. Gary Trent Jr is emerging as a reliable threat. Scottie is young star. Hopefully a 500 record next year?
